The XHLWX Solution: A Vision for Smart Retail Lighting
Following a thorough on-site audit and collaborative workshops with the Wanda Plaza management team, XHLWX Lighting developed a comprehensive, human-centric lighting solution tailored to the unique architectural features and commercial objectives of the mall. Our proposal centered on a complete replacement of the legacy system with our state-of-the-art LED fixtures, integrated with an intelligent hybrid control system.
The design philosophy was to create a seamless and captivating journey for the visitor, using light to guide, to highlight, and to create distinct moods throughout the space.
Main Atrium: The soaring multi-story atrium is the heart of the mall. Our design aimed to accentuate its scale and grandeur. We deployed the XHLWX Locus™ Series 70W High-Bay Downlights, utilizing their powerful output and precise beam control (15° and 24° options) to punch through the long throw distance, dramatically illuminating the floor below. For the expansive vertical surfaces and architectural columns, we specified the XHLWX Graze™ 30W Wall Washers to provide even, smooth vertical illuminance, making the space feel even larger and more open. This was complemented by the XHLWX Linum™ Architectural Linear System, integrated discreetly into ceiling coves to provide a soft, ambient glow and define the atrium's geometric lines.
Corridors & Public Walkways: In the corridors, the primary objective was visual comfort and clear navigation. We replaced the old, glaring downlights with our flagship XHLWX Stella™ Pro Anti-Glare Downlights. These fixtures are engineered with a deep-recessed LED source and a black baffle, achieving a Unified Glare Rating (UGR) of less than 19. The optical design of our Stella™ Pro downlights incorporates a multi-faceted reflector and a carefully positioned LED chip that directs light precisely where it's needed, cutting off stray light that causes glare.
